Your own survival tools and grit have carried you to this exact moment. It is time for you to validate your own experience and start the process of unlearning intergenerational patterns of dysfunction, embodying your roots that serve you, and reparenting yourself. You are capable of vulnerability, getting your needs met, and making sustainable change. My ideal client is one that is focused on curiosity and accountability. Let's begin working together to harness your power, develop new skills, and regain control over YOUR life.

Our practice was established with emphasis on helping others enhance their own strengths and develop an understanding of the interconnections of their being. We value the importance of intersectional identities and acknowledge the impact that systemic oppression has on our wellbeing. I believe no one should face fear or judgement when seeking support. I celebrate diversity and pride myself on providing a safe and affirming space for all. We promote holistic, integrative, growth and empowerment of those who choose us as their partner to guide them through their mental health and wellness journey. Let’s find your peace.

I have gathered diverse clinical experience from my work as a mental health therapist in community mental health, university, and private practice settings. I primarily work with teens, college students, and adult populations struggling with a wide variety of symptoms and barriers; some include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, developmental trauma, complex PTSD, LGBTQIA+ issues, self-esteem, attachment issues, stage of life issues, personality disorders, chronic stress, and disrupted wellness practices.

I obtained a Bachelor’s of Social Work from Ohio University and a Master’s of Science in Social Work with a specialization in mental health from the University of Louisville. I implement an eclectic and integrative approach in my sessions with clients. I apply concepts and skills from Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Systems and Attachment Theory, Compassionate Inquiry, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Schema Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Healing methods, Feminist, and Trauma Informed Care.

I establish the foundation for my therapeutic process on psychoeducation and the mind-body connection. I have completed an intensive Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) training and became a clinician trained in the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS). My practice is also Anti-Oppression Informed Practice certified. I pursued this certification to ensure that I am providing culturally mindful and affirming treatment to my clients. These techniques have further strengthened my competency and specialty in the area of assisting clients in de-centering themselves from overwhelming thoughts, emotions, and body sensations in order to be more in control and present in their lives. Clients who work with me learn about their Core Selves and gain an understanding of why their mind, body, and soul interact with their internal and external worlds in the ways they do.

I was born, raised, and remain rooted in the Appalachian culture. While I posses immense pride in my cultural roots, I also actively value and pursue education and connection with cultures that differ from my own. During my time off I prioritize my own wellness, self-care, and relationships. I love cozy coffee shops and spending time traveling, gardening, reading (true crime and fiction murder mystery novels of course🙃), and tending to my house plants. Interacting with the natural world is integral to my professional and personal life. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with my 13 year old Basset Hound named Sonny, whom we recently started grieving.

Pictured above is my Sonny who my soul best friend for 13 incredibly lucky years🐶🌞💛

My husband and I keep honey bees as another fun horticultural hobby. Above is a photo from our first honey harvest in 2023!🐝🍯
